Dr. Deborah Norris, Ph.D.

Deborah Norris, Ph.D., is an internationally recognized mindfulness leader, bridging the scientific basis and the energetic experience of mindfulness. A neuroscientist by training, she has taught and conducted research at Georgetown University Medical School, American University, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, among others. She is Founder and Director of both the Psychobiology of Healing program at American University and The Mindfulness Center, headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland. She has been a keynote presenter at the National Institutes of Health and other national and international conferences. An esteemed and inspiring speaker, her teaching is known for being as profound and effective as it is simple and healing.
