The Mind-Body for Cancer workshop is free for those who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Friday, April 5 from 6:30-9:30pm and Saturday, April 6 from 12-5pm

As a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization, the Mindfulness center offers charitable and educational mindfulness-based workshops and classes dedicated to supporting cancer patients teaching methods of cancer prevention.
Please join Dr. Deborah Norris and The Mindfulness Center for a workshop dedicated to supporting cancer patients and providers, and to teaching methods of cancer prevention and care. The Mind-Body for Cancer program teaches evidence-based Mind-Body practices based on current scientific research, for improving quality of life and rates of survival for cancer patients.

The Mind-Body for Cancer wellness class is an eight hour workshop exploring special topics such as nutrition, exercise and emotional health for people diagnosed with cancer. This workshop presents experts in the field of mind-body and lifestyle approaches to treating cancer. Experts join together to provide a supportive and informative program to create optimal well-being for those touched by cancer.
Experts say that mind-body medicine is an increasingly important part of cancer treatment that can enhance quality of life, lessen pain, and extend longevity. Join this workshop to learn what you can do for yourself and others; begin your practice now.
All are welcome, including patients, doctors, caregivers, and those simply looking to learn.
Our students with cancer find considerable relief, restored sleep, and more energy from taking our ongoing group classes such as meditation, restorative yoga and Tai chi and Qigong. Personal services also play a role in improved quality of life, including acupuncture, oncology massage, private meditation, hypnosis, nutritional consulting, personal yoga therapy, and "Prepare for Surgery Heal Faster" or "Prepare for Chemotherapy Heal Faster" and more.
