We are delighted to have you join our global community of educators incorporating trauma-informed social and emotional learning into their lives. This professional development course provides training and instruction for school teachers and staff to recognize, identify, and cope with stress and trauma in self and in others. Topics covered will include: SOMA – Science of Mindful Awareness, Physiology of Stress and Trauma, Resiliency, Empathy and Compassion, Empowerment, and Mindfulness. Discussions on mindfulness will provide techniques for effective communication and self-care.

Educators will acquire the tools to implement Mindfulness-based Social and Emotional Learning within their own lives and practices. Mindful teachers are more likely to implement significant and lasting change that optimizes teaching and learning especially during this time of remote learning.
