Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a natural state of relaxation in which you experience heightened suggestibility.

Hypnosis can be used to promote physical or emotional health. While in a deep state of relaxation, you are offered suggestions tailored to your specific needs. Your unconscious mind can then transmit these thoughts and images throughout your mind and body, influencing them in ways that seem impossible in ordinary states of consciousness. Hypnotherapy is increasingly being used in mainstream medicine, thanks to mounting evidence that it works, as well as research showing how the
human brain responds to hypnosis.

The Mindfulness Center offers hypnotherapy as an element of our integrative approach to empowering the healing
capacity of your own mind-body.

Research shows hypnotherapy can be beneficial
in treating a range of conditions including:

  • Trouble Sleeping, Insomnia, and Sleepwalking
  • Anxiety or Depression
  • Gastro-Intestinal Disorders
  • Chronic Pain
  • Smoking Cessation or Substance Abuse
  • Weight Loss
