Dr. Amanda Skowron, LCP

Dr. Skowron, a licensed clinical psychologist, will work with you to develop a personalized approach to address stress, anxiety, life transitions, sleep, adjustment to medical issues, or other stress-related conditions by understanding how the mind impacts physical well-being and overall health. Regardless of what brings you to therapy, sessions allow you to gain self-awareness and learn ways to better navigate life situations. Difficulty making session times because of schedules and commuting? I have been a therapist in clinical mental health for more than 30 years working with diverse inpatient populations and diagnoses where I’ve incorporated traditional theoretical practices, such as cognitive-behavioral, strengths based and solution focused approaches for short term psychotherapy. I am conveniently accessible through a confidential online platform. I also have an office in Owings Mills, Md. In my personal practice of creating art, my work includes a combination of music, creativity and mindfulness practice. I meet my clients where they are. Depending on your interests, I have a creative solution that would be customized to your specific needs.

Renowned for her online meditation teacher training program, SOMA, The Science of Mindful Awareness, Dr. Norris is an internationally recognized speaker and educator on mindfulness, yoga, and integrative mind-body medicine. A health scientist with over 40 years of experience ranging from traditional medical and psychotherapeutic practices to integrative therapies and lifestyle practices, she teaches and conducts research in mindfulness, behavioral medicine and other holistic approaches to happiness and well-being.

Aurora Hutchinson, serves as a faculty member in The Science of Mindful Awareness (SOMA): Meditation Teacher Training program. She teaches group classes, conducts corporate seminars and works with individual clients seeking to learn meditation for stress management, improved health, career and family support. Aurora is certified as a SOMA meditation teacher, an iRest Yoga Nidra Level 1 Teacher- as well as a certified Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master and Jikiden Reiki Shoden practitioner.
She is also trained in Clinical Hypnosis through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and is a yoga teacher in training. Aurora has a professional background in DoD and scientific program management, with an emphasis on research, policy interpretation, and technical and scientific writing. Her passion as a scientist, teacher and practitioner is in promoting and practicing evidence-based, best practices of self-care in hospitals, wellness centers, educational and corporate settings, to empower and serve others.
